Russia targets drone assembly sites and logistics centers in Kyiv

Russian forces launched precision strikes targeting logistics centers, long-range drone manufacturing workshops, and storage sites belonging to the Ukrainian armed forces in Kyiv and its surrounding areas.

According to a statement from the Russian Ministry of Defense, as reported by Sputnik, "Russian armed forces carried out a large-scale overnight attack using precision-guided ground weapons and long-range drones, targeting transport, supply, and distribution centers in Kyiv and its outskirts. These facilities were used for storing and transporting various types of weapons and military equipment, as well as for the production and distribution of drones."

The ministry's statement added that "three cargo ships south of Odesa, which were transporting weapons and military equipment to the Ukrainian armed forces, were also targeted."

During the operation, Russian forces destroyed a significant amount of Western-supplied equipment, including German Leopard 2 tanks, numerous American and British armored vehicles, and many tanks and vehicles provided by NATO countries, all of which were destroyed in the Russian strikes.

Meanwhile, Kyiv has repeatedly warned of dwindling stocks of Patriot air defense interceptor missiles, which are used to counter ballistic missile attacks.
