Palestinian Foreign Ministry condemns rising settler attacks in West Bank

The Palestinian Foreign Ministry has strongly condemned what it described as crimes committed by settler groups, under the protection of Israeli occupation forces, last night and today. The attacks targeted mosques, homes, and property belonging to Palestinians in cities and towns across the West Bank.

The ministry stated that the targeting of mosques and other places of worship reflects, in its view, the true nature of colonial occupation and ongoing attempts to turn a political conflict into a religious one, fueling hatred and justifying crimes against the Palestinian people.

In this context, the Palestinian Foreign Ministry called on the international community, the United Nations, and its relevant agencies to take practical and binding measures to stop what it described as settler terrorism.

The ministry also demanded that armed settler groups responsible for organized daily crimes against Palestinian civilians be designated as terrorist organizations, and that effective sanctions be imposed on their members and supporters to ensure accountability.
