Military and strategic affairs expert Faisal Al-Hamad said that military operations against the Houthi militia are ongoing and have not been affected by recent Houthi attacks.

In an interview with Al-Hadath, he added that the Saudi Armed Forces remain vigilant, particularly the air defense and air force units, which are actively engaged in intercepting ballistic missiles and drones.

He continued, noting that the Houthis have a pattern of disregarding customs, religion, and international law. He pointed out that attacking civilian areas is strictly prohibited under military law. Al-Hamad explained that the Saudi Armed Forces are monitoring the locations from which these missiles are launched and respond immediately to any sites targeted or used for launches.

He added that the air force, operating alongside the Arab coalition supporting legitimacy, has announced strikes on these missile platforms and released footage of one such operation. When a missile is launched, long-range and early-warning air defense systems track its movement and calculate its trajectory, enabling the activation of air defense systems in targeted cities to intercept the missiles.

Al-Hamad stressed that no missile has exploded on the ground; all injuries and minor material losses have resulted from shrapnel produced during aerial interceptions.
