Saudi-Syrian partnership aims to rebuild production sectors, boost logistics: analyst

Economic analyst Eid Al-Eid stated that the Saudi partnership with Syria aims to stimulate the private sector and transfer Saudi knowledge and expertise, as well as rebuild productive sectors, develop skills, and prepare the workforce, all of which will help raise value chains in Syria.

Speaking to Al Ekhbariya TV, Al-Eid explained that the partnership focuses on several vital sectors, including logistics and transport. He highlighted the importance of these sectors to the Kingdom, especially given recent regional developments and the significance of navigation through the Strait of Hormuz, Bab Al-Mandab, and the Suez Canal.

He added that strengthening transport and logistics capabilities would support trade flows and supply chains, as well as enhance opportunities for economic and investment cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Syria.
