Yemeni Prime Minister Shaye' Al-Zandani has said that restoring state authority and sovereignty is essential to protecting the security of Yemen and securing international navigation in the Red Sea and Bab Al-Mandab Strait. He stressed that this would help eliminate threats to this vital maritime corridor and the security of global trade.

Al-Zandani’s remarks came as he monitored developments on the second day of Operation «Fajr Al-Yemen», holding calls with military and field commanders to review the progress of battles and advances on several fronts.

The prime minister stated that his government is closely following the course of the fighting, reaffirming that all state resources are being made available to support the forces fulfilling what he described as a national duty to restore state authority and sovereignty across Yemen.

Al-Zandani praised the steadfastness and bravery of the armed forces, military formations, and popular resistance, as well as their progress on the ground. He confirmed that the government is directly monitoring these advances and is prepared to support them at the security, service, and livelihood levels.

He also expressed appreciation for the support provided by the Saudi-led coalition and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s backing for efforts to restore state authority and enhance the security of Yemen and the region. Al-Zandani described this support as a reflection of the Kingdom’s steadfast solidarity with the Yemeni people.
