Bahrain intercepts Iranian drones, urges public to stay calm

Bahrain's National Communication Center announced that the Bahrain Defense Force's air defense systems intercepted and destroyed Iranian drones.

In a statement carried by the Bahrain News Agency, the center said that air defense systems remain on high alert to safeguard the security and safety of the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Earlier on Wednesday morning, the Interior Ministry urged citizens and residents to remain calm and move to the nearest safe location amid the threat, advising everyone to follow updates through official channels.

The ministry said in an alert that these measures are for public safety, emphasizing the importance of following instructions issued by the relevant authorities.

Meanwhile, Iranian media reported that the Iranian military had launched a large-scale drone attack targeting a US base in Bahrain, though there has been no official confirmation of the attack or its details.
