Senior Daesh leader killed in joint operation in Yemen

Yemen’s State Security agency announced that a joint operation to apprehend Daesh leader Abu Hudhayfah Al-Ansari resulted in his death.

The agency said the operation was carried out by coalition special forces, supported by Yemeni counterterrorism units. According to Al-Hadath, the special forces withdrew from the area without any harm to civilians.

Yemeni military and security forces continue to enforce the law across the country and confront Houthi militias and other outlaw groups.
