Iran offers $30,000 reward for killing or capturing US soldiers

Iran’s military announced on Sunday a $30,000 reward for anyone who kills or captures and hands over a member of US forces, with the amount doubled if the operation is carried out by a woman.

The announcement was reported by the official IRNA news agency, quoting Iranian Army Commander Amir Hatami, who said the move was in response to “a large number of requests” from those wishing to contribute financially.

The Iranian military did not report any US ground troop deployments inside Iran during the war, except for an operation in April to rescue a US pilot whose aircraft was shot down. Hatami did not provide details on where or when such operations to kill or capture US soldiers might take place.
