Iran warns regional oil exports at risk if its own shipments blocked

Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has warned of the consequences of continued pressure on Iran's oil exports and national security, stressing that the impact would not be limited to Iran alone.

Ghalibaf stated that Iran has the ability to influence regional energy exports, saying, "In a region where we cannot sell our oil, no one will be able to sell theirs," directly hinting at possible measures to disrupt regional oil shipments.

The Iranian official added that the United States and other countries should recognize Iran's position, emphasizing his country's commitment to its policies regarding the Strait of Hormuz and maritime navigation there.

Ghalibaf's remarks come amid heightened regional tensions over energy exports and critical shipping routes.
