Yemeni armed forces seize strategic Jabal Numan in Lahij

Yemeni government forces have announced the completion of a swift military operation, resulting in the capture of positions in Al-Wazi'iyah district in Taiz and Al-Mudaraba district in Lahij.

According to reports cited by Al-Sharq, the Yemeni government forces said they had taken control of the summit of Jabal Numan, which overlooks supply routes between Al-Wazi'iyah and Al-Mudaraba. They also secured Wadi Al-Kafir and reinforced the security of villages in Wadi Al-Mudaraba and the outskirts of Al-Wazi'iyah.

The Yemeni government forces added that Houthi fighters fled their positions, leaving behind weapons and ammunition.

Yesterday, the Yemeni armed forces announced they had thwarted an infiltration attempt by Houthi militia through the Ashboot and Najd Al-Bard areas in Al-Maqatirah district of Lahij province, southern Yemen, in an effort to cut the only supply route linking Taiz to the interim capital, Aden.
