Sudan’s military leader vows to end rebellion, says fight for dignity ongoing

Sudan’s Transitional Sovereignty Council Chairman and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, reaffirmed today that the battle against the rebellion is ongoing, stressing that what he called the “battle for dignity and pride” will not end until the rebellion is decisively defeated.

Speaking in the Burri area, Al-Burhan stated, “The armed forces have pledged to the Sudanese people and the families of the martyrs that murderers and criminals will not be allowed any foothold in Sudan.”

According to Asharq, the Transitional Sovereignty Council Chairman reiterated his welcome to anyone who responds to the call of duty and the nation and surrenders, affirming his rejection of bearing arms outside the state’s authority. He also stressed his opposition to any foreign agendas imposed on the Sudanese people.

Al-Burhan emphasized that resolving Sudan’s problems must come through internal Sudanese dialogue, leading to consensus, state-building, and national progress.

He added that Sudan will rise through the determination of its people, overcome its challenges, and build a state that preserves its achievements and unity.
