Trump says Hamas agrees to disarm, reveals US communication channels

US President Donald Trump announced that Hamas has agreed to disarm, emphasizing that the United States has several channels of communication with the group.

Trump explained that this agreement came as part of the American roadmap introduced last July, which aims to launch the second phase of the peace plan and includes the disarmament of Hamas and the withdrawal of Israel from the Gaza Strip.

In the same context, US envoy Jared Kushner met with Hamas leaders in Egypt before heading to Israel, as part of American efforts to advance the peace process in the region.
