Iranian president tells UN: We resisted US attacks, will not yield

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said the United States imposes a blockade on his country and prevents it from accessing waterways during his address to the United Nations General Assembly.

Pezeshkian warned that expanding the scope of conflict would not bring security to the region, stressing the importance of resolving regional issues within the region itself.

The Iranian president said his country seeks cooperation to achieve security, emphasizing that nuclear technology is part of Iran’s right to development. He insisted that Iran’s need for nuclear energy does not mean it is pursuing nuclear weapons.

Pezeshkian added that Iran exists in a region where war knows no boundaries, condemning the US president’s labeling of Iranians as terrorists and asserting that Iran has withstood US attacks and will not surrender.

He stated that the United States and Israel have targeted Iran’s infrastructure, adding that today’s world recognizes only the language of force. Pezeshkian said Iran seeks cooperation for security without using force to dominate or achieve its own security at the expense of others.
