Trump weighs major decision on Iran conflict, says all options open

US President Donald Trump has said he is facing a major decision on the course of the conflict with Iran, stating that he is considering whether to resume large-scale military strikes to end the standoff, and emphasizing that all options remain open.

In an interview with Axios on Thursday, Trump said: "I have a big decision coming up... Do I want to go in and take them (the Iranian regime) out or not? It's a big decision... Everything is on the table."

Trump's remarks follow earlier statements in which he said Iran is eager to reach an agreement with the United States, marking his latest position on the conflict with Tehran.

The US president also said that Washington is in the final stages of its conflict with Iran, while vowing to tighten American sanctions on Tehran.
