Clashes continued on Tuesday across frontlines in Yemen’s Taiz province, as government forces and local resistance repelled infiltration and advance attempts by Houthi militants. The Masrah and Al-Shaqab fronts saw confrontations lasting over 10 hours, during which the Yemeni army and residents of Saber managed to thwart the attacks and inflict casualties on the militia.

Mohammed Al-Hudhaifi, a correspondent for Saudi TV channel Al-Ikhbariya in Yemen, reported that the intensity of fighting varied across Taiz’s fronts since Tuesday morning. He noted that Yemeni forces and popular resistance foiled Houthi infiltration attempts on the northern front, while also making advances toward the Hawjalah area.

On the Masrah and Al-Shaqab fronts, the Yemeni army and Saber residents confronted Houthi attacks for more than 10 hours, inflicting losses on the militia, according to the correspondent.

In Marib province, Al-Hudhaifi confirmed that the security situation remains stable and daily life continues as normal, despite a rise in the number of displaced people arriving in the area.

He explained that Yemeni security forces foiled Houthi plots and apprehended cells attempting to plant explosive devices on roads leading to Marib, even as the militia continues to target the province with rockets in what he described as failed attempts to destabilize security.
