Saudi, Iranian foreign ministers discuss rising regional tensions

Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan discussed escalating tensions and regional security with his Iranian counterpart, Abbas Araghchi, emphasizing the importance of continued diplomatic efforts to prevent further escalation and to restore security and stability.

According to a statement from the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Araghchi spoke with Prince Faisal bin Farhan by phone to address the rise in tensions and insecurity in the region, as part of ongoing consultations on regional developments.

The ministry added that both ministers stressed the need to maintain cooperation and diplomatic efforts to prevent the expansion of escalation and to bring stability back to the region.
