Netanyahu criticizes New York official Mamdani over Hamas support claim

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has criticized New York official Zohran Mamdani after Mamdani suggested Netanyahu could be arrested if he visits New York.

Addressing Mamdani, Netanyahu said, according to Al Arabiya, "Shame on you for supporting Hamas and inciting against New York's Jews. I will expose your true face before the United Nations."

This comes amid escalating tensions between Netanyahu and Mamdani, following Mamdani's announcement that he would be prepared to detain the Israeli prime minister upon his arrival in New York.

Netanyahu is scheduled to travel to the United States on Wednesday to address the United Nations General Assembly, with his plane expected to land in the US on Thursday morning for a brief visit.
