US official: Trump administration rejects any Hormuz deal with Iranian tolls

A US official told the Wall Street Journal about the Trump administration’s condition regarding the Strait of Hormuz.

The official added that the Trump administration will only accept an arrangement for the Strait of Hormuz under which Iran does not collect any fees.

This comes after US media reports said negotiators would use the 60-day truce to work toward a permanent agreement on the Strait of Hormuz and the nuclear issue.

US officials stated that any agreement to establish new shipping lanes in the Strait of Hormuz would be temporary.
