Iran warns of swift, harsher response to any attack on its interests

Iranian parliament speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said that "the United States has likely realized that the era of 'proportionate responses' is over."

He warned on Monday that "any attack on Tehran’s interests or security will be met with a faster and more painful response."

In remarks delivered before the start of a parliamentary session, as reported by Asharq, Ghalibaf added that the United States must understand, "before it is too late," that "the rules of the game have changed," in his words.

Ghalibaf noted that "the military strikes targeting American bases have left U.S. leadership frustrated, prompting them to resort to artificial intelligence to produce fake propaganda materials to cover up the reality on the battlefield."

The parliament speaker also pointed out that, amid hostile efforts to disrupt supply chains and manage energy resources through intensified sanctions, Iran must develop new capabilities for smart import management, stimulate productive operations, and harness the talents of national elites to build a stronghold against foreign exploitation.
