Yemeni army inflicts heavy losses on Houthis, says military analyst

Military analyst Yasser Saleh said the Yemeni army is delivering heavy and sustained strikes against Houthi forces on the frontlines, continuing to drain the militia’s capabilities.

In an interview with Al Hadath, Saleh added that Yemeni armed forces airstrikes targeted reinforcements coming from several provinces, most notably Sanaa and Ibb, to the fronts in Taiz province. He said Yemeni airstrikes hit large groups of these reinforcements and destroyed equipment accompanying them.

The military analyst noted that gatherings were also targeted in what is known as the “kill box” operation launched by the Yemeni army, as well as strikes on groups moving toward Bab Al-Mandab to thwart Houthi offensive operations on the western Taiz front.

He went on to say that the current military operation is being managed more strategically, aiming to wear down the Houthis in open areas by launching artillery fire from ground forces, given the scale of the Houthi offensive and the significant reinforcements they have deployed.
