Iran tells mediators it seeks end to war, not just ceasefire

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said that mediators have been informed Iran does not accept a ceasefire, but insists the war must be ended.

Meanwhile, Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council Mohsen Rezaei stated that the gap between the United States' inability to reopen the Strait of Hormuz and its demand for sovereignty over it is greater than the physical distance between Washington and the strait itself.

US President Donald Trump has reiterated that there are no ongoing or planned talks with Iran, confirming that the maritime blockade on its ports will remain in place.
