Netanyahu calls Flydubai plane incident 'very serious'

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu described the Flydubai plane incident as "very serious."

Netanyahu added that he had instructed the security establishment to prepare for further threats, noting that another pilot on board regained control of the aircraft after one pilot stabbed the other and attempted to crash the plane.

For his part, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz described the incident as an attempted "terrorist attack."

Flydubai announced that an additional crew managed to land the plane, which was en route to Tel Aviv, safely at Tabuk airport in Saudi Arabia after an altercation occurred in the cockpit.

The airline clarified that the crew was able to control the situation and secure the aircraft before landing safely at Tabuk airport without any obstacles to a safe landing.
