Political analyst Mubarak Al-Ati has said that "Iranian-American talks have reached a dead end marked by a lack of trust."

Speaking to Al-Ekhbariya, Al-Ati added that "the negotiations in Tehran appear to have hit a wall, as the Iranian side wants the US to make some concession before agreeing to sit at the negotiating table."

He continued, "The American side, in turn, also wants Iran to admit defeat or offer some concession before it will agree to negotiations."

The analyst went on to say that "between these two positions, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is lurking in the region. He is unconcerned with the success or failure of the talks, because he indeed wants to sabotage any political process to carry out his strike on Iran."
