Kuwait’s Interior Ministry has denied reports circulating on social media about the implementation of a new system to monitor telecommunications, phone calls, and social media platforms.

In an official statement, the ministry confirmed that claims in a widely shared post regarding its monitoring of social media are baseless.

The ministry urged the public to verify information, refrain from spreading unverified news, and rely on official sources for updates.

The statement was issued in response to anonymous reports alleging that Kuwait is surveilling its citizens through updates to a new system, including monitoring social media platforms.
