Iraqi security delegation arrives in Erbil on prime minister's orders

Iraq's National Security Adviser Qasim Al-Aboodi arrived in Erbil on Saturday, heading a high-level security delegation.

According to the Iraqi News Agency (INA), the National Security Advisory said that, acting on instructions from Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi, Al-Aboodi traveled to Erbil province at the head of a senior security team.

The visit follows an incident in which four drones targeted three camps belonging to Iranian Kurdish opposition groups near Erbil in Iraq.

Iraq continues to face various security challenges, including asserting state control over restive areas, restricting weapons to government forces, and maintaining public safety.
