US Central Command (CENTCOM) spokesperson Tim Hawkins said that 97% of ships attempting to cross the Strait of Hormuz have done so without being struck by Iranian projectiles, noting that the "vast majority" of Iranian attacks on vessels have failed.

Hawkins told Fox News that the strait remains open to navigation, while CENTCOM reported that around 400 commercial ships have transited the waterway in the past seven days.

The CENTCOM spokesperson added: "We have prevented Iran from conducting any export or import operations, allowing only aid vessels to pass."

CENTCOM Commander Brad Cooper noted that US forces helped Gulf partners ship over 100 million barrels of crude oil last week, and more than 1.3 billion barrels in recent months.
