US strikes kill 7, injure 8 in Iran’s Khuzestan province

Iranian media reported that seven people were killed and eight others injured in US missile strikes targeting three areas in Khuzestan province, southwestern Iran, overnight and into early morning.

According to the Tasnim news agency, Valiollah Hayati, deputy governor of Khuzestan for security and law enforcement affairs, said the attacks resulted in seven deaths and eight injuries across the three targeted locations in the province.

The US strikes coincided with other attacks inside Iran. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps vowed a strong response, warning that the United States would regret its latest actions.

In response, the Revolutionary Guard and Iranian military announced missile and drone attacks on US bases in Jordan and Bahrain.
