Lebanese president urges US to act swiftly to halt Israeli strikes in south

Lebanese President Joseph Aoun has called on the United States and the international community to take urgent action to halt Israeli airstrikes on southern Lebanon.

Aoun noted that Israeli attacks have targeted state institutions and public service facilities, according to Al Arabiya.

Earlier today, the Israeli military launched airstrikes on southern Lebanon, describing them as a response to Hezbollah's launch of two drones toward its soldiers in what it calls the "security zone."
