Hormuz Strait Authority: US claims do not alter closure status

Iran’s Hormuz Strait Authority said that repeated claims by US officials that the strait is open do not change the reality that it remains closed.

The authority added that the Strait of Hormuz will not be reopened until Iran’s conditions are met.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has also stated that Tehran has not reopened the strait or changed its policy, and that the passage remains under Iranian supervision and control.
