White House urges Iran to agree to immediate deal

The Wall Street Journal reported today, citing the White House, that US President Donald Trump has completely destroyed Iran’s military and nuclear facilities and is now preparing to crush the Iranian economy to ensure Tehran’s compliance.

According to the newspaper, as quoted by Al Jazeera, the White House spokesperson confirmed that “it would be wise for Iran to reach an immediate agreement, otherwise it is well aware of the serious consequences of refusing.”

The Wall Street Journal also revealed, citing US officials, that Vice President JD Vance had told Trump before the military confrontation that Iran could abandon its nuclear program through direct negotiations, placing full responsibility for the recent escalation on Iran’s stance.

Iran had earlier vowed to retaliate against expanded US economic sanctions, which Washington said would cut off the Islamic Republic’s economic lifeline, expressing confidence that its main trading partners would resist the US pressure campaign.

Previously, Iran threatened to respond to any US economic measures with military action and further reductions in Gulf oil exports. Iranian Economy Minister Ali Madani Zadeh stated: “We are fully prepared for US sanctions.”
