Pakistan army spokesman: Mecca agreement is secret, boosts collective deterrence

Pakistan military spokesman Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry stated that the Mecca agreement is based on defense and aims to enhance collective deterrence, noting that its operational aspects will remain confidential.

In remarks to Al Arabiya, Chaudhry explained that the agreement includes defense commitments whose details will not be disclosed, stressing that it will not affect the nature of relations between Pakistan and Iran.

In a related context, the spokesman condemned attacks by Houthi militias, affirming that Pakistan is working through mediation efforts to help achieve peace in the region.
