Iranian president meets Mojtaba Khamenei to discuss key issues

The official website of Mojtaba Khamenei reported that Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian met with Khamenei again.

According to the website, the president and Khamenei discussed a range of military and economic issues. The meeting came a day after Khamenei appeared in a video for the first time in five months, following a period of heightened security measures that had prevented his public appearances.

This was not the only recent meeting between the president and Khamenei. Days earlier, Pezeshkian reportedly met with Khamenei inside a car at an undisclosed location, where they spoke without shaking hands or seeing Khamenei’s face.

Iran is currently experiencing a cautious pause in US strikes, aimed at advancing Omani-Iranian negotiations. However, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has reiterated that the Strait of Hormuz will remain closed to maritime traffic unless the United States agrees to Iran’s conditions.
