Yemeni leader urges families in Houthi-held areas to reject recruitment of children

Rashad Al-Alimi, Chairman of Yemen's Presidential Leadership Council, has urged Yemenis living in areas controlled by the Houthi militia to reject the recruitment of their sons into deadly conflict.

Al-Alimi added that Yemeni forces have regained the initiative and inflicted heavy losses on the Houthis, noting that recent achievements are only the beginning and that the army possesses capabilities and options whose impact will soon be evident on the ground.

He stressed that the sacrifices made by the Yemeni armed forces, all military formations, and the popular resistance will not be in vain. Al-Alimi called for serious efforts to support the families of martyrs and the wounded, to strengthen state institutions, and for citizens to rally around the national project, describing these as essential pillars for ending the Houthi terrorist threat backed by the Iranian regime.
