US Embassy in Bahrain warns citizens of possible Middle East escalation

The US Embassy in Bahrain has issued a security alert to American citizens, stating that the security situation in the Middle East remains complex with the possibility of unexpected escalation.

The embassy, in a notice posted on its official X account, noted that Iran has previously targeted civilian infrastructure in Bahrain, including hotels in the capital, Manama. It urged US citizens currently in the Middle East to exercise increased vigilance.

The warning, according to the embassy's statement, emphasized the need to be aware of the potential for flight cancellations, airspace closures, and general travel disruptions in light of current security developments.
