Iran denies talks with US on extending ceasefire

An Iranian official told Reuters there are no discussions underway regarding an extension of the ceasefire with the United States.

He added that current talks are focused on the US returning to the memorandum of understanding and establishing a timeline for fulfilling its commitments.

He further stated that the United States violated the interim agreement within 48 hours of its signing and withdrew from it a few days later, reiterating that there are no discussions about extending the ceasefire with the US.
