Trump warns impeachment would destroy Democratic Party

US President Donald Trump has warned Democrats against attempting to impeach him in order to remove him from office.

Trump added that if Democrats proceed with impeachment efforts aimed at his removal, it would lead to the destruction of the Democratic Party.

His comments came after the Democratic Party's sweeping victory in the midterm congressional elections, following the Republican Party's defeat due to the fallout from the US war with Iran.

Chuck Schumer, the Democratic leader in the US Senate, said, “We will end the war, and some Republicans have joined us.”
