Iran's Revolutionary Guard vows military and economic response to US after Larak attack

Iran's Revolutionary Guard has threatened the United States with a military and economic response following an attack on Larak Island on Sunday, warning that Washington will "pay the price" for the strike.

According to Iranian state news agency and television, the Revolutionary Guard said the US attack resulted in deaths and injuries among Iranian fighters and civilians, without specifying the number of casualties.

A spokesperson for the Revolutionary Guard, quoted by the agency, stated that the United States would pay for the attack on Larak Island "economically and militarily," vowing to retaliate and punish those responsible.

The attack comes amid rising tensions around the Strait of Hormuz, after the United States said its forces targeted two Iranian rocket launchers on Larak Island, following the detection of Revolutionary Guard personnel preparing to fire rockets carrying naval mines into the strait.
