Yemeni National Resistance thwarts Houthi boat attack, advances in Taiz and Hodeidah

The western coast of Yemen witnessed a simultaneous escalation on multiple fronts after National Resistance forces foiled a Houthi attack using two explosive-laden boats, alongside ground advances by forces supported by the Giants Brigades on fronts west of Taiz and south of Hodeidah.

Naval forces of the National Resistance on the western coast intercepted the maritime attack before the two boats could reach the coast of Al-Khokha, south of Hodeidah, destroying both vessels. According to military media, one boat was targeting Al-Fajrah in Al-Khokha and the other was aiming for the port of Mokha.

The operation followed the detonation of a third explosive boat the previous day, while Houthi militias continued their missile attacks on populated areas, including a ballistic missile strike on the Education Office in Hays district, south of Hodeidah.

On the ground, Yemeni military sources announced Saturday that National Resistance forces, backed by units from the Giants Brigades, made advances on the Jarahi front, coinciding with offensive operations toward Jabal Ras in southern Hodeidah.

Clashes also extended to the vicinity of the strategic Jabal Dabbas in Hays, where fierce fighting over the past two days reportedly resulted in hundreds of Houthi casualties, according to the sources.

In western Taiz, National Resistance military media reported heavy Houthi losses on the Al-Barh front, with two explosive drones shot down and weapons seized.

Armed forces also advanced on the western front of Taiz, recapturing several hills and positions, while gaining control of key sites and high ground on the southern front of the province.
