Iran says talks with Oman on Strait of Hormuz near conclusion

Iran's foreign ministry announced that ongoing negotiations with Oman regarding the Strait of Hormuz have reached their final stages, emphasizing that the talks are bilateral and not linked to any other parties.

The ministry clarified that these negotiations are not new, reaffirming Tehran's commitment to working with Oman to establish a mechanism for regulating ship passage through the strait.

It added that conditions in the Strait of Hormuz cannot return to what they were before the outbreak of the war.

The ministry also stressed the importance of continued coordination with Oman to ensure the security and smooth flow of maritime navigation in the region.
