Houthis pursuing systematic displacement of Yemenis, says military expert

Military affairs specialist Mohammed Al-Qubaiban said the Houthi militia is carrying out political objectives orchestrated by foreign countries, aiming to drag the region into further conflict and instability.

Speaking in a phone interview with Al Ekhbariya TV, Al-Qubaiban explained that the Houthis "do not consider the interests of the Yemeni people or the nation as a whole, but rather pursue broader political goals driven by other countries to push the region into conflict."

He added that the Houthis' treatment of the Yemeni population amounts to "a systematic effort to displace Yemenis and make their lives difficult," arguing that the group's actions show a disregard for citizens' interests and Yemen's stability.

The military affairs expert described the Houthis as a "terrorist group," noting that, in his view, their goal is "to sow chaos in the region and bring it to a state similar to what Iran is experiencing today."
