The United States has prevented Iran from exporting at least $25 billion worth of crude oil, according to US Central Command (CENTCOM). The command said ongoing pressure on Tehran has affected every sector of Iran’s economy, leaving the country with no exports or imports.

CENTCOM added that the Strait of Hormuz is under the control of the United States and its regional partners, not Iran, stressing that American efforts have enabled the safe passage of more than 1.3 billion barrels of oil through the strait.

The command noted that US measures are imposing significant costs on the Iranian regime, particularly the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, and highlighted the current deployment of more than 50,000 American troops in the Middle East.
