UN office: 1,790 families displaced by renewed violence in Taiz

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs has reported that 1,790 families have been displaced due to escalating violence in Taiz province, according to Al Arabiya.

The displacement follows heightened tensions caused by the Houthi militia across several areas of Yemen, as the Yemeni army continues efforts to neutralize their threat.

Yemeni armed forces have gained control of new positions on the Haifan front in southern Taiz, reclaiming all areas in Hays district after heavy clashes with Houthi fighters in the Kadha area of Taiz.
