Israeli security officials warn of rising violence in West Bank

Israeli state radio has reported that security officials have warned of a potential escalation of violence in the West Bank.

The report added that the Israeli military is currently deploying 26 battalions in the West Bank and has stepped up measures to protect settlements and roads.

It also stated that the army has decided to station eight battalions in Lebanon and five in Gaza, in addition to the 26 in the West Bank, which have been ordered to expand their offensive operations in the area.

The developments come after Israeli forces raided a house during an incursion into the town of Turmus Ayya near Ramallah in the West Bank.
