India condemns attack on its vessel off Yemen, urges end to Red Sea threats

India has strongly condemned the attack on one of its vessels off the coast of Yemen.

The government called for an end to attacks on commercial ships in the region and the restoration of freedom of navigation, expressing deep concern over the continued targeting of merchant vessels.

The incident involved a Houthi militia attack using an explosive-laden boat against an Indian civilian cargo ship as it sailed in the Red Sea toward the port of Mocha, resulting in the vessel's complete sinking.
