Jordan intercepts 10 Iranian missiles targeting US sites

Jordan's military announced that its air defenses intercepted 10 out of 13 Iranian ballistic missiles that entered the kingdom's airspace, in the latest Iranian attack targeting US facilities and interests in Jordan.

In a statement, the military said three ballistic missiles landed in remote areas far from population centers, while air defenses engaged the remaining missiles that entered Jordanian airspace.

Meanwhile, two US officials told Reuters that there have been no reports so far of American casualties from the Iranian attack on facilities in Jordan.

Jordanian state television reported that sirens were activated in the Mafraq and Aqaba governorates as Iranian strikes targeted US interests and bases in the region, in response to earlier US attacks on Iran.

In a separate development, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps claimed the attack resulted in "a large number of US forces killed," though there has been no American confirmation of these claims.

The attacks come amid ongoing escalation between Iran and the United States, with Tehran targeting US sites and bases in the region in retaliation for American strikes on Iranian targets.
