US Central Command completes 11th consecutive night of airstrikes on Iran

US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced on Wednesday that its forces have successfully carried out airstrikes on targets inside Iran for the 11th consecutive night.

CENTCOM said the strikes targeted Iranian military operations centers, naval capabilities, aircraft hangars, drone storage facilities, and military logistics infrastructure.

In a statement, CENTCOM said, "These raids are intended to further degrade Iran's ability to threaten commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz."

The command reported that Iran has attacked more than 30 commercial vessels transiting the strait.

CENTCOM added, "These unjustified attacks have endangered the lives of hundreds of innocent sailors and undermined freedom of navigation."

Earlier, CENTCOM announced that its forces began conducting strikes on Iranian military targets at 7 p.m. Eastern Time, as part of ongoing operations for the 11th day.

CENTCOM confirmed that the strikes aim to continue degrading Iran's ability to threaten commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz, as part of ongoing US military operations in the region.

The continued US strikes come amid escalating military confrontation between Washington and Tehran, which in recent days has seen the US target Iranian military sites and infrastructure, alongside increased American military and naval measures in the Gulf. Iran has vowed to respond to any attacks on its territory or facilities, raising concerns about a wider conflict and its impact on maritime security and global energy supplies.
