Iran says talks with Oman on Hormuz focused on safe passage routes

Iran's foreign ministry has confirmed that talks with Oman regarding the Strait of Hormuz have focused on establishing safe passage routes for transit.

The ministry added that the final results of negotiations with the Sultanate of Oman will be announced once discussions are completed.

The ministry also stated that Iran and Oman are working together to develop the necessary mechanisms for future arrangements to manage navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.

It further noted that negotiations are being conducted as both Iran and Oman share coastlines along the Strait, and the process aims to ensure the sovereign rights and security considerations of both countries.
