Pakistani interior minister’s Iran visit unrelated to US mediation, Tasnim says

Iran’s Tasnim news agency has reported that the visit of Pakistani Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi to Tehran today is not connected to mediation efforts in the conflict with the United States.

The agency stated that the Pakistani minister is not carrying any message to Iran, nor will Tehran send any message to the United States through him.

It added that Iran’s seven conditions have already been clearly communicated to the American side, and there has been no change in this situation.

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei announced that Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi is expected to visit Tehran today to discuss bilateral relations between the two countries.

Tasnim International News Agency quoted Baqaei as saying that Iran and Pakistan enjoy good relations, with cooperation continuing to grow in various fields.

Baqaei added that the Pakistani interior minister’s visit will focus on bilateral issues, and he may be accompanied by another minister. He also noted that consultations will be held regarding joint agreements between the two presidents and ways to implement them.

Baqaei further explained that Pakistan is making significant efforts to strengthen ties, but stressed there is no information indicating Islamabad intends to propose any specific initiative or plan during the visit.
