Yemeni government forces announced that 25 members of the Houthi group were killed and others wounded during clashes in southeastern Taiz, as fighting continued on several fronts in the province. The announcement coincided with the downing of a Houthi suicide drone east of the city and the foiling of an infiltration attempt near Dhubab airport, according to Yemeni military statements.

The media center for the Taiz Axis said on Saturday that government forces, supported by popular resistance fighters, repelled a Houthi attack on the Al-Shaqab front southeast of the city, resulting in the deaths of 25 Houthis and injuries to others.

Clashes also spread to the Al-Shaqab and Al-Aqroud fronts in southeastern Taiz and Jabal Habashi to the west. The center reported further Houthi casualties from ambushes carried out by government forces in the Al-Misrakh, Al-Birin, and Jabal Habashi fronts.

Airstrikes and drone downed east of Taiz

On the air operations front, the Taiz Axis media center reported that warplanes launched strikes on Houthi gatherings and positions in Sama district and the Maslaqah area of Jabal Habashi, as well as targeting sites and concentrations in the Al-Aqroud and Jabal Sama fronts.

The center confirmed the downing of a Houthi suicide drone east of Taiz, a development that coincided with ongoing ground clashes and airstrikes on Houthi positions in the province.

Infiltration attempt foiled near Dhubab airport

On the western coast, the National Shield Forces released a video they said documented the thwarting of a Houthi infiltration attempt around Dhubab airport, with participation from Southern Giants Brigades and air support from coalition forces.

Meanwhile, the Southern Giants Brigades continue to clear mines along the western coast as part of efforts to secure and sweep the area, with forces stating that mines had been heavily planted in the region.
