Military operations against Yemen’s Houthi militia expanded on Thursday, with airstrikes targeting militia sites, camps, and barracks in Hodeidah, Al-Bayda, Ibb, and Sanaa, coinciding with continued advances by government forces on several fronts as part of the “Dawn of Yemen” operation to reclaim Houthi-held areas.

In Hodeidah, sources reported that airstrikes hit militia barracks, with explosions heard near Hodeidah Airport. Strikes also targeted Houthi positions in the mountainous Makiras area of Al-Bayda province, according to Al Arabiya/Al Hadath correspondents.

The airstrikes extended to Ibb and Sanaa provinces, where eyewitnesses said a Houthi camp in Yareem, northeast of Ibb, was hit, while field sources reported another militia camp targeted in Bani Matar, Sanaa province.

These strikes coincided with ground operations by government forces on multiple fronts, following recent announcements of attacks on Houthi sites, weapons depots, and military vehicles in Marib and Al-Jawf, as well as ongoing operations along the western coast and in Taiz.

According to the Yemeni News Agency SABA, the Yemeni Armed Forces said they have carried out 2,103 strikes against Houthi targets since the “Dawn of Yemen” operation began, resulting in the neutralization of 1,860 militia members and the destruction of hundreds of pieces of equipment and military sites.

On the Bab Al-Mandab front, government forces announced they had secured control of the mountainous Kahboub front overlooking the strait, marking their latest advance against the Houthis. This follows their capture of areas around Dhubab and Bab Al-Mandab and progress toward the coastal city of Mokha.

In Taiz, government forces announced in recent days that they had taken control of Mokha city after battles with the Houthis, alongside advances on other fronts in the province and operations in the southern mountainous regions, while airstrikes continued on militia positions.

These developments come as military operations persist in Marib and Al-Jawf, where airstrikes have targeted Houthi military sites, weapons depots, and vehicles, with the scope of operations stretching from the western coast to internal fronts.
